Another gorgeous day! This is certainly not the first time I have shown off the potential of this Bitty skirt (and definitely not the last), but on this shining summer day, I’m once again feeling the love for this embellished mini skirt. I went with an oversized hair-bow and large bag to balance the mini-ness of the skirt and the petite floral print of my tee, and the wedge espadrilles make me feel a little more grown up, which is never a bad thing when crossing over to AG’s Bitty line. I mean who isn’t eyeing the new Bitty Twin glasses? Some seriously stylish toddler accessories right there.
I’m all about the pink accents today! A bit on my blouse, a rosette headband, and of course these adorable striped sandals- just the right amount of color to complement my white and navy. Pops of color are always a fun way to spice up an outfit!
In other news- Elsa and Anna auctions end within the hour! Don’t forget to check them out!
It seemed only appropriate that I let my friend’s pup (who I am pet-sitting today) join me for photos on this hot and humid day, as it could easily be mistaken for a mid-summer “dog days” scorcher! A wide-brimmed hat is a must for days like this when the sun is beaming down, and it paired so nicely with this summery halter tank, I just couldn’t resist. I’d call this another one of those “meant-to-be” pairings of 2 items from completely different places that just seem destined to be worn together. It’ll be a summer favorite for sure!
Bright colors are always cheerful and fun, but natural earthy tones are also great for a more calm and elegant look. This cute little necklace was a crafty find from Joann Fabrics: a pre-made strand of jewelry making beads with a simple clasp added to the end makes the perfect necklace with very little work! I just love it with this petite floral print dress, and with a natural colored straw hat, how can you go wrong?
The Summer Collection goes live on ETSY at 8 PM EST!
HERE is the link to the shop, hope to see you there!
After receiving far more requests than I could even imagine having time to fulfill, I finally made one set of Anna and Elsa costumes to sell. These outfits are very time-consuming detailed projects, and while working on my seasonal modern collections, it took me until now to have the time to focus on them! After much thought, I have decided to sell them via eBay rather than Etsy, so that all of the people who were hoping to get one will get a chance, instead of just whoever sees the listings first.
If you missed my original post with the Frozen costumes, see it HERE!
I think one of the girliest dresses a young lady can wear is a white eyelet dress. Wearing one just makes me want to skip and dance around! Paired with pink espadrilles, a pink paisley bag, and my hair pulled back with a dainty daisy clip? Then my skipping and dancing around will no doubt be accompanied with me singing “I Feel Pretty” from West Side Story. Every girl needs an “I Feel Pretty” dress.
Here’s a sneak peek of what Clarisse’s Closet has been cooking up for summer- check back Friday for the official release in our Etsy store!
I managed to sneak outside in the few minutes that the sun decided to come out, but today was mostly another rainy day. After three in a row, it can get rather dreary, but it does keep me busy sewing inside without the lure of the sun wanting me to go out and play! That being said… the summer collection is coming along quite nicely, so I’ll be updating with more information about that on Monday. I also finished a different project this week that is long awaited for some of you… so be sure to check in for exciting news next week!
I found myself needing to kill some time at Barnes and Noble yesterday, and picked up Stacy London’s The Truth About Style. It was interesting to get to know her history and how she ended up where she did, plus there are some great make-over stories and photos. She describes one petite young lady as “totes adorbs” (for those of you who don’t understand abbreviation language- this is short for “totally adorable”), and the phrase seemed to stick with me while I was getting dressed today. Something about the pink boots and sparkly cardigan paired with this floral blouse seemed to channel the essence of “totes adorbs.”
