I love using bright colors to contrast white, and this elegant white eyelet skirt is the perfect piece to use for that. Almost any bright colored top looks fabulous with it, but I chose this flowy floral top today because I also wanted to wear my peach glasses, which were missing and have finally been found (woohoo!). I might be getting a little excited for fall fashion and decided pair some boots with my look; the summer is whizzing by so quickly!
It’s a little soon for long sleeves, but I just love this floral top and couldn’t wait to wear it, so I decided I would manage the heat by just pushing the sleeves up. The 3/4 length purple pants complemented the look quite nicely, and some neutral/gold accessories were all I needed to complete the outfit! Camille helped me with the “Elsa braid,” which is one of her favorite looks now. I quite like it myself!
I mostly stick with sandals in the summer, but once in a while a pair of booties are fun to change things up! Even more fun, is mixing said booties with a girly floral dress and pearls for an edgy contrast. I’m thoroughly enjoying mix-and-matching coral with various different colors this season; it’s such a great color to play with. Aside from obviously clashing pinks, I’ve yet to find a color that doesn’t look good with it!
Another gorgeous day! This is certainly not the first time I have shown off the potential of this Bitty skirt (and definitely not the last), but on this shining summer day, I’m once again feeling the love for this embellished mini skirt. I went with an oversized hair-bow and large bag to balance the mini-ness of the skirt and the petite floral print of my tee, and the wedge espadrilles make me feel a little more grown up, which is never a bad thing when crossing over to AG’s Bitty line. I mean who isn’t eyeing the new Bitty Twin glasses? Some seriously stylish toddler accessories right there.
I found myself needing to kill some time at Barnes and Noble yesterday, and picked up Stacy London’s The Truth About Style. It was interesting to get to know her history and how she ended up where she did, plus there are some great make-over stories and photos. She describes one petite young lady as “totes adorbs” (for those of you who don’t understand abbreviation language- this is short for “totally adorable”), and the phrase seemed to stick with me while I was getting dressed today. Something about the pink boots and sparkly cardigan paired with this floral blouse seemed to channel the essence of “totes adorbs.”
